Tendling

Terms of service and end-user license agreement

Last updated November 7, 2026

These terms cover your use of Tendling, including our websites, apps and related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Cladeworks LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who these terms apply to

A "business" is the pet care business that holds a Tendling account. "Team members" are the owners, admins and sitters it adds. "Pet parents" are the business's clients, who may use the portal or a business's booking page or new-client form.

If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you can agree to these terms for it. You must be at least 18, or the legal age to enter a contract where you live.

2. The Service

Tendling helps in-home pet care businesses run scheduling, visits, report cards, messages, invoices, sitter pay and related work. Available features depend on your plan and may change over time.

3. Your license to use the Service

While you follow these terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service and any app we provide, for your own business or as a team member or pet parent. We keep all rights in the Service, including its software, design, brand and documentation.

4. Trials, plans and billing

  • New businesses get a free 14-day trial with no card required. When a trial ends without a paid plan, the business becomes read-only until it picks one.
  • Current plans and prices are shown in the app. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect, until cancelled. We will give reasonable notice of a price change.
  • You can cancel from the Billing page at any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not refund partial billing periods. If you think we charged you by mistake, email support@tendling.io.
  • Stripe processes our plan payments. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

5. Pet care stays your responsibility

Tendling is software. We do not provide pet care, employ or vet sitters, or take part in the arrangement between a business and a pet parent. The business alone is responsible for its services, its team and the safety of the animals and homes in its care.

Reminders and missed-visit alerts help, but they can be delayed or fail. Phones lose signal, browsers block notifications, and email can bounce. Keep your own backup plan for every visit, and do not rely on the Service for emergencies. In an emergency, contact a vet or emergency services.

Businesses are also responsible for:

  • Their licenses, insurance, contracts, prices, cancellation rules and refunds.
  • Classifying and paying sitters correctly, including any 1099 or W-2 choice, and their own tax filings. Pay, mileage and tax-related figures in the Service are a convenience, not legal, tax or accounting advice.
  • The agreements they ask pet parents to sign. Tendling's starting text is not legal advice.
  • Having the right to enter the information they put into the Service, and telling pet parents and team members how it is used. That includes home addresses, lockbox, alarm and gate codes, photos, messages, and location shared during walks.
  • Deciding who on their team can see client information, and removing access when someone leaves.

6. Pet parents

If you are a pet parent, your agreement for care is with your business, not with us. Questions about visits, prices, invoices or refunds go to the business. Staff at your business control your portal access and can see the information you enter there.

A visit, meet & greet or weekly schedule you ask for isn't booked until your business approves it. Please keep your pet's feeding, medication, behavior and vaccine details up to date, because sitters rely on them. If your business asks you to sign an agreement, the name you type counts as your signature, along with any signature you draw, and that agreement is between you and the business.

7. Payments between businesses and pet parents

A business can accept card payments through its own Stripe account. Its use of Stripe is covered by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe's other terms, and Stripe charges its own fees. The business is the seller, and it handles any fees, tips, deposits, autopay, disputes and refunds with its clients. A pet parent who saves a card or turns on autopay authorizes that business to charge the card for amounts it invoices, until they turn autopay off or remove the card.

8. Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe and your information accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@tendling.io if you think someone has used your account without permission. A private calendar link works without signing in, so treat it like a password, and replace it if someone else gets it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harassing or harmful, or to track a person without their knowledge.
  • Send spam or messages the recipient has not agreed to receive.
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of others.
  • Upload malware, probe or breach our security, or access data that is not yours.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or get around its limits, except where the law does not allow us to restrict this.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of the records, photos, messages and other content you add. You give us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, copy and display that content only as needed to run the Service for you and for the people you share it with. Our privacy notice explains how personal information is handled.

11. AI features

The Service can draft report cards and read vaccine certificates with AI. Results can be wrong or incomplete. A person must check a report card before it is sent and vaccine details before they are saved, and whoever does so is responsible for them. AI results are not veterinary advice, so check vaccine dates against the certificate.

12. Connected services

The Service can work with services we do not control, such as Stripe, calendar apps and, when you choose to connect it, QuickBooks Online. Your use of each one is covered by that provider's own terms. By connecting a service, you authorize us to exchange the information needed for the connection to work. You can disconnect it at any time.

You are responsible for checking anything we send to your books. An accounting sync is a convenience and does not replace an accountant. We are not responsible for a third-party service's availability or changes, and its provider is not responsible for Tendling.

13. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or end features. If a change takes away a major part of a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice when we can.

14. Suspension and closing an account

You can stop using the Service at any time. To close a business account, email support@tendling.io. We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, or a security or fraud risk. We will tell you first when it is practical and safe to do so.

When an account closes, your right to use the Service ends. You can request a copy of your business's data within 30 days by emailing us. After that we may delete it, as described in our privacy notice.

15. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or business. We are not liable for injury to or loss of an animal, or for damage or loss at a home, arising from pet care services or a missed or late visit. Our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any consumer rights that cannot be waived.

16. Indemnification

If you use the Service for a business, that business will defend and compensate us for claims, damages and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that come from its pet care services, its content, its dealings with team members or pet parents, or its breach of these terms or the law.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place of residence of the seller, Cladeworks LLC (United States), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use a different court.

18. Changes and general terms

We may update these terms and will give reasonable notice of material changes through the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and any plan details shown at purchase are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
